Marieke Penterman grew up on a Dutch dairy farm and made her first gouda in Wisconsin in 2006, using raw milk from her family’s own herd. She was named U.S. Grand Champion in 2013 and is a certified Wisconsin Master Cheesemaker.

Tony and Julie Hook have made cheese together since 1976. They’re known for extra-aged cheddars, including rare 15- and 20-year wheels, and for mixed-milk cheeses like Triple Play, a first-place winner at ACS 2026.
